大宋淳祐七年，钦州灵龙镇灾患频现，民间谣言乃蛟龙作祟，需将童男童女投入锁龙井喂食蛟龙方能得享安宁。祭祀恶俗持续多时，不知多少无辜孩童葬身龙腹，灵龙镇哭声震天，家有幼童者皆人心惶惶。新科进士庄严担任主簿后，坚持进入锁龙井调查蛟龙事件，却不想竟因得罪龙王而锒铛入狱。灵龙县仵作小宛为救心上人，不远千里求请已金盆洗手的宋慈出山查明真相。案件疑点重重，宋慈和小宛联手突破重重难关，终于赶在庄严被斩之前查明真相，庄严得以平反，小宛也在众人的见证下正式向宋慈拜师学艺。然而眼看灵龙镇逐渐恢复平静，宋慈却发现原来真相并没有他想象中那么简单。

为了寻找真相，她坠入黑暗的深渊不论技巧、美貌或个性，被誉为「跳水天后」的怡玲（申敏儿饰演）看似拥有一切，然而她唯一的遗憾，就是无法跟好友秀珍（李裕英饰演）一起游泳。为了帮助秀珍，怡玲将她的主要活动变更成水上芭蕾。就在两位好友倾注一切努力的同时，两人却因为一场意外，让秀珍消失得无影无踪。怡玲虽然活了下来，却也因此失去记忆。当怡玲慢慢恢复记忆时，脑海中却浮现秀珍完全不知道的另一面，也动摇了她在跳水之路上的信念…

　　PARK Duk-joon is an old man living by himself. Every night, he suffers from insomnia attacks brought on by disturbing flashes from his dark past.
